Healing Kids’ Hearts Retreat is for children aged 7-12 who have lost a loved one close to them.
The day’s activities provide children a safe and confidential environment to learn about healthy grief and loss in responding to the death of a loved one. Led by trained volunteers, this retreat offers a variety of activities through which children learn that there are multiple ways to grieve. They will learn positive ways to honor the person who has died and create lasting memories that can provide comfort.
A trained adult “buddy” is matched with each child to guide and support them through the day.
Special activities include building a "Memory Box", music, drawing, writing, a balloon launch and more!
